The GAA is based on a simple but very powerful principle: you put in….but you don’t take out. And you put in because you believe in contributing to your culture, your games, your place, your people and your community. Nowhere else on the planet has anything like the GAA. And those who don’t have it look enviously at it.
Our GAA Club continues to be a central and positive part of life in Brackaville.
Cairde and Pátrúin Breac an Bhile are about Brackaville people coming together to support our Club’s development agenda. Cairde members typically contribute £20 a month whilst Pátrúin gifts us a single payment of £5,000 (or by agreed instalment). They all do so on that wonderful basis of asking for nothing in return other than being proud and content about investing in something positive and special.
All Cairde and Pátrúin money is ring-fenced to fund our new Community Hub and the next phase in our major development.
These funds will also allow us to:
- Generate an ongoing revenue scheme this will allow us to secure low interest loans to finance development projects.
- By being able to save or borrow significant sums of capital the club will be able to target significant grant fund applications that have a requirement for the funding to be matched equally by the applicant.
Why we need you?
As a club we must now be ambitious. A multi-use community Hub will help revolutionise community life here and will contain changing and personal care facillities, a multi-use hall, gym/health & well being area, culture and meeting/community interaction space, reception area and basic catering provisions. This Hub will totally replace our existing changing rooms which have served us well but are no longer fit for purpose with the amount of activity at our grounds.
It’s a huge challenge but one we must and can rise to. To provide the best possible facilities for our players and the community.
Crucially, it’s one that you can help with by joining Cairde Breac an Bhile or becoming a business Pátrúin.
